London Fashion Week SS11 - BodyAmr
After a quick sprint to Vauxhall Fashion Scout to see BodyAmr’s second collection, we find a seat to relax and do some people-watching before the show starts. Lily Allen, Nick Grimshaw and Gizzy Askin among others are in the room waiting for the show to begin. And the light goes down, the music comes up and Daisy Lowe opens the show.

Seductive and glamourous, the designer Amr showed us what he knows best - luxurious pieces that are perfect to slim or accentuate women’s curves. Be ready this summer to look ultra feminine in his silk, jersey draped and flowing dresses.

Flirtatious, the collection was still playful in the game of hide-and-seek. As the models walked down the catwalk some skin could be seen here and there through scoop neck maxi dresses, a sheer dress showing some lace details or again through cut-out panels. The evening-wear was embellished with some sparks details at the waist, or as a print.

We understand more the ‘Body’ of the label’s name when curveous Amber Rose makes her entrance on the catwalk as the music changes and she is applauded by the audience - a nice reference to the 90s supermodels, famous for their full figures.

A collection that we could describe as sleek, bold colours, and a celebration of femininity and the body.

With classics cuts, Amr knows women and how to create clothes that suit a woman’s body. No wonders why all the A-listers are attracted by his designs.
