What is in your sketchbook?

Quirky illustrations with the odd attempt of wit, portraits and caricatures, typography sketches, general doodles

Where do you illustrate?

I still live at home so usually in my bedroom where I have lots of space and if I’m lucky, peace and quiet. Although I doodle pretty much everywhere else.

What inspires your work?

Music, film, art and design, fashion; general modern-day culture that I try to keep up to date with as much as I can. I’m constantly inspired by artists and designers and every day I discover someone or something that I aim to be on the same level as one day. I do read but the majority of the time I prefer looking at pictures. Having a blog allows me to follow other ones with similar tastes to my own, sometimes leading to finding interesting images that I might then, for example, consider doing a drawing of if I’m feeling it or the subject itself. I’m heavily influenced by visuals all the time. My peers also inspire me; I think healthy competition is good for an artist.
